Leddy & Slack are proud to present General Ulysses S. Grant, commissioned by the Grant Cottage State Historic Site in Wilton, New York, in commemoration of General Grant's 185th birthday. The figure depicts Grant in early 1864 as a three-star general, wearing his baggy private's coat with the stars sewn onto the shoulders. Included in each box is a description of the general's physical appearance and character offered by Colonel Horace Porter, Grant's aide-de-camp during the Wilderness and Petersburg campaigns.

Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ, has joined the Leddy & Slack family. The gift shop carries several figures from our Types of the American Revolution range, both painted and unpainted. The Red Mill Museum Village sits on 10 tranquil acres in western New Jersey not far off I-78. The historic 1810 mill forms the centerpiece of the site, and other historic buildings include a blacksmith shop, carriage sheds, an 1860s schoolhouse, and buildings relating to the area's 19th century limestone quarries.
Leddy & Slack welcomes Vicksburg National Military Park as the second National Park (and first national Civil War site) to carry our fine tin soldiers. Located at a strategic point along the Mississippi River, Vicksburg was the site of a lengthy siege by Union troops under General U.S. Grant which ended July 4, 1863. This is Leddy & Slack's first retail location outside New York and New Jersey, and we are pleased to kick off 2007 with such an historically significant addition to the Leddy & Slack family.
